This
is a drawing of the new gear plate and of its related parts. NOTE some
dimensions may vary by machine manufacture! Depending on the quality of your
"A" shaft mount, you may have to modify it or make a new one. If you make
a new one, I recommend adding a ball bearing to the "A" shaft. The
bottom plate mounting spacer will have to be modified too. The Mount Cap may be
different depending on machine hardware and "A" gear mount. The
spacer with 0.242 dia. middle hole 0.155 dim. may vary depending on machine but
should be at least 0.120" for good operation with T-nuts.(The 0.155 dim.
is required for multi-gear addition) This is a nice project but you do need to
do your home work.
This
is a drawing of my "A" shaft ball bearing modification. The
"A" shaft mount may be different for most machine manufactures so I
am not sure this will work. Adding a bronze bearing would be an improvement
though.
